Compatibility with new Nvidia RTX 3000 Series graphics cards

Those of you who keep up with Nvidia's releases will surely remember the introduction of the RTX 2000, a couple of years ago, along with its architectureTuring. This architecture meant that Nvidia made a splash in the world of gaming, as it exceeds the power of the technologyPascal(the most relevant predecessor) by a very wide margin, and allowed the introduction of theRay TracingIn real time for the first time, according to the company itself

GeForce RTX 3000 Series graphics cards feature the evolution of the Turing architecture, namedAmpere. The improvements of this one are so incredible that, the new graphics can reachdouble the performance of the previous generation of Nvidia.

3000 Series Models

The company has launched three different models of its 3000 Series, each with different specifications for different audiences

-Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070With more than interesting specifications, despite being the cheapest of the three models. It has 8 GB of GDDR6 memory and 5,888 CUDA cores. With it we can play at 1440p but we can also reach 60FPS in 4K. A pretty complete model.

-Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080The "middle sister" of this new family has 10 GB of GDDR6 memory and 7,804 CUDA cores, at a pretty good price for these specifications. With this model we will enjoy games at 60FPS in 4K and with Ray Tracing, no problem

-Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090The Top Class model, so to speak, reserved for those who have a less limited budget, and want a graphics card with dream performance. The crown jewel of the 3000 Series features 24 GB of GDDR6X memory, more than twice as much as the intermediate model, and 10,496 CUDA cores. With this model we can forget about 4K and play directly at 60FPS in 8K.

At the latest Nvidia conference, last January, in the last few months, new graphics cards of its 3000 series have been launched. Specifically, it launched Nvidia 3000 for notebooks and two additional new models RTX 3060 Ti and RTX 3060 (Ultra) for desktops.

The new Nvidia RTX 3060, in plural, are really two versions of the same graphics card, RTX 3060 as is, and RTX 3060 Ti. They differ mainly in CUDA cores, memory and power but otherwise have very similar features, remember that it is really the same model but in two versions. We highlight the following features:

Also known as "Ultra"is the model that has caused a sensation in the market. With 12Gb of GGDR6 memory and 3584 CUDA cores, we can greatly improve the performance of most games on the market, and those in development.

is a somewhat lighter version, but with great specifications, even for the most demanding users, in terms of quality/price ratio. It has 8Gb of GGDR6 memory and 4864 CUDA cores, at a more than interesting price, and that is why, despite having been released recently, it is very difficult to find units.

The dimensions of these two models are 242mm, according to Nvidia's own website, so they will be compatible with all our towers that accept these measures, arranged in the table below. As always, you can consult all the specifications of the graphics cards, on the company's official website
