Now that you have your complete and spectacular PC Gamer comes a fundamental question that we ask ourselves when we have everything installed. What about the internet connection? It is worthless to have invested a lot of money in the ultimate computer. From Nfortec, with the help of our ambassador Torotocho we are going to test three alternatives to connect to the Internet and we will check which of them is the best solution for you and for every self-respecting gamer. We will analyze their price, the complexity of the installation and all those doubts that we are sure you have had when you have tried to connect your PC to the Internet
Normally we face the problem that we do not have the router in the same room where we usually work or play online with our friends. We could install a cable duct system along the baseboards of the house to bring that cable connection to our PC. This cable system is a cheap solution since for a little less than 100 euros we can make the whole installation with all the necessary elements and we will even have spare network cable to use another time. In this way we will obtain the connection speed that we contract with our service operator. The problem with this system is that we will have to do all the installation of the gutters, proceed to drill holes in our walls, etc..
If we do not want to opt for the wired version we have other equally valid alternatives such as the PLC. We connect the PLC to the mains, next to the router and we connect it to the mains in the room where our computer is located. Then we plug an Ethernet cable on each side. In this way they will send the signal between them through the electrical network. This system is very easy to install and implement, since we will only have to make the connections previously mentioned (previous synchronization of the devices). For them to communicate with each other they must be within the same electrical circuit. The Internet connection speed will be slower with this second system than with the first one
The third alternative is the most expensive of all and is plastic fiber optic (about 220 euros per pack). It differs from the first option because it is designed to be connected through the boxes of the house and in this way the connection would be as clean as possible. It has less range, 50 meters instead of the 100 meters of the network cable, but if we do not live in an excessively large house it should be enough with this distance. To make this connection we must open all the panels in the house. Next we will have to open the nearest plug to our desk and put the plastic optical fiber through the hole of the antenna cable. Through these boxes you will have to take the fiber optic cable from the router room to your PC room. With fiber optics we achieve the same download speed as with the Ethernet network cable connection. It is a slightly more expensive option but works just as well as the first option
We hope we have helped you to improve your computer's internet connection and that you have found the option that best suits the needs of your new gamer PC.
